Integrative Psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy & Special Yoga
Therapeutic Sessions for mental and physical well-being for Everyone – adults and children, the marginalised and vulnerable, for Every – Body and for those More Special at any age
Welcome
Within my 15 years of experience as a therapist, I have witnessed the profound healing and growth that can happen when we gently support both mind and body together.
Research increasingly shows that meaningful and lasting change can occur when psychological and body-based approaches are thoughtfully integrated.
Life can bring many challenges — stress, anxiety, trauma, loss, burnout, relationship difficulties, and periods of uncertainty can affect us mentally, emotionally, physically, and energetically. Often, our experiences are held not only in our thoughts, but also within the body and nervous system.
My approach is warm, collaborative, person-centred and integrative. This means therapy is tailored to you as an individual, honouring your unique experiences, pace and needs. Together, we create a safe and supportive space where all parts of you are welcome.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist and Yoga Therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychotherapeutic enquiry, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, breath work and Internal Family Systems informed “parts work.”
IFS recognises that we all have different inner parts or patterns that develop throughout life, often in response to stress, trauma or relationships. Therapy can help us understand these parts with greater compassion, curiosity and clarity.
While my work recognises the connection between mind and body, this does not mean you need to do yoga or movement practices. For some clients, therapy may focus primarily on talking and reflection; for others, it may include gentle breath awareness, grounding, mindfulness or body-based approaches where helpful and appropriate. Everything is invitational and adapted to your comfort and needs.
I have been offering therapeutic yoga, mindfulness and breath work since 2011 in both private settings and schools, working with adults and young people. I qualified with the Real Yoga Diploma in Yoga Therapy in 2019 and am registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.
More recently, I completed a Level 7 Masters qualification in Integrative Psychotherapy with The Minded Institute and registered with professional body, National Council of Integrative Psychotherapy; further deepening my integrative and trauma-informed approach to therapeutic work.
I can help with a wide range of challenges:
